CHALLENGE

The base-frame laser’s display failed during Chinese New Year. The vendor’s engineer was abroad, and the whole canopy line stood to stop.

ACTION

Interviewed the operator, checked all 4 axis controllers, the drive and connection box, then traced the signal path to a degraded internal HDMI cable and bypassed it.

DIGITAL OUTCOME

Production resumed the same day the fault was traced. The fix became the first TKOCS troubleshooting card and a monthly cable-inspection line in the PM schedule. Recognised by the CEO.
